I'd like to start a book exchange for those of us who live in Incheon. There's no rule on how many books you must bring and no rule on how many you can take. Bring NONE and take 10! No rules on genre either but I do ask that the books be in readable condition.

I'll be hosting the Exchanges on the first Sunday of every month in Hagik Dong near Dong-ah Poonglim apartments. It's the same area as Inha University.

THE DATE OF THE DECEMBER EXCHANGE IS DECEMBER 6TH! 1:00-3:00pm

Directions are:

Take bus numbers 4, 8, 111-2, 5-1, 3-1A, 2300, 9200, 9000 and get off at the Dong-ah Poonglim Apartments. There's a crosswalk at the entrance of the apts.

Go to the side of the crosswalk opposite Dong-ah Poonglim apts. and you will see a restaurant "Mapo Wang Sogum Gu Yi" (In Korean). The sign is red with white lettering. You'll see a smallish street next to it with a strip mall on the left.

Walk straight North down the smaller street that runs 90 degrees to the street you just crossed. This is the one with the strip mall on the left and Mapo Wang Sogum Gu Yi on the right.

Walk one block and you will see another kalbi restaurant with a yellow and white sign on the left. This is the building you want to enter.

We will be on the second floor in the hogwon.

Any questions can be sent via PM or to [email protected].

See you Sunday!

Very Happy

Sounds interesting, but no way I'm going all the way to Incheon in the hopes that i find the right strip mall next to the right crosswalk and go down the street at a right angle to whatever.

A physical address would make more sense, wouldn't it?

I think the whole thing is some kind of scavenger hunt prank.

ChopChaeJoe, this certianly isn't a prank. Rolling Eyes

Buses from Juan/Chuan subway are 3-1B, 5-1, 516. All three will come to this area but not directly in front of Dong-ah Poonglim Apts.

The address is:

Nam-gu Hakik 1 Dong 321-6
Floor 2
Inchon 402-865

Well you may (or may not) see me there. It seems a little difficult to get to to have many good books. (And I have a few great ones.)

I suggest we meet at Juan station or Bupyeong station which is at a major transfer point. I have one book I would like to share, but I am not going to take buses to find the spot.

Let's meet at an easier to find spot.

The book I have to share is http://www.thechinasandwedge.com/index.html

If interested, email me ( [email protected] )

I have 3 copies, and one person has one.

My one book is not going to hijack your elaborate book fair, calm down. It's just a book exchange, we aren't competitors like Mac and Microsoft (reminds me of the Soup Nazis episode on Seinfeld, "No book for you").

I was trying to help and suggested you move it to easier to reach area (more accessible). You would get more people at YOUR book exchange.

You know LIFEINKOREA makes a good point. If it was at Bupyeon Station, I would be more likely to go to it. But taking subways, transferring to a bus and walking around a strange neighborhood~ I doubt it.
