I'm just curious as to how abundant the OT gigs might be within the SMOE? Are most of you guys pulling in a lot of extra work/camps within the Seoul Public School system? The reason I ask is I'm part of GEPIK, and as such, we're allowed to work part-time jobs legitimately if given permission by our principals. I've been working a part-time unigwon gig for a couple of years now, but really want to move into Seoul, but not at the detriment of the extra 'man wons'. In any case, it might be a moot point considering Seoul seems to be all filled up anyhow. But yeah, if any of you could volunteer some responses as to how many extra hours you're able to find and how much those extra hours pay would be of great help to me.

Cheers.

If extra classes are what you're after then go for elementary. I teach at MS and there aren't that many - which I like. You can always work for other schools that are covered under SMOE as well bc lots still don't have NSETs.

i work in SMOE and i make about 700k for 6 hours of afterschool. teacher's classes, which are usually after 5, pay about 40k an hour. some people do 12 hours a week of afterschool and add over a mil to their original monthly salary.
my district even offered saturday class slots for people crazy enough to take them... it was 100k a day for that...might just be my district though.

some people some extra camp work, but most of us don't have time if we want to use all our vacation time.
