Not sure which is worse, Ovechkin leading with the knee on Gleason and putting himself out of commission along with Gleason or Ballard swinging his stick in frustration and taking out his own goaltender(Vokoun).

Pittsburgh, Dallas, Boston, Nashville, Atlanta

A lot of you guys (DD, Force One, Meangradin) seem to have ties to Vancouver. Anyone going to be there in February for the Olympics? It would be great to catch a hockey game there wouldn't it? Anyone ever been to an Olympic game?

It would be cool to see the Olympics but I now live in Shanghai as I scored a good job here so won't have too much Vancouver time.

Just came back from a 12 week vacation in Victoria, so won't be back for a bit. Can't imagine how much semi-finals and the Gold medal game will be going for...$7 G's possibly?

http://www.vancouver2010.com/olympic-tickets/olympic/ticket-prices/#ice-hockey

If you were fortunate enough to get them from the official website, the men's gold medal game cost $350 - $775.
($175 - $425 for men's semis and bronze)

However, those games are all sold out now and they are being resold for a little more.

Men's gold medal game:
$3265 - $4875 (showtimetickets.com)
$2093 - $6161 (stubhub)

The smart bet is Pittsburgh for sure, but I'm going with
Chicago.
Vancouver,
Boston,
Nashville,
Washington.

So, who do you like for Team Canada's goalie, Luongo or Brodeur?
I'd go Luongo, but I bet they'll choose Brodeur.
Happy sort of dilemma for a team to have...

I agree. I hope they go with Louie but I won't hold my breath. It is a very nice dilemma to have.

Pitt/VAN/BOS/ATL/BUF

With the Canucks history of playing down to their opponents, they will probably get killed by 5 or so, but i just can't profit off a loss by my beloved team.

On the Nucks, I am very happy with Gillis. I was a fan of Nonis, so did not like the change, but he has really proven to be an astute judge of tatlent. Sammulson and Ehroff have been great signings, and Schneider adds needed depth and experience. The only thing I don't like is Demitra, but at the time I thought it was alright, so I can't really have it both ways. BTW, does the team get to write Demitra off the books for this year, or does his salary count against the cap? I hope so.

My best friend bought tickets for the semi's. If I had tickets to the gold medal game, I'd sell them and watch the game on my new TV while drinking The Macallan.
