Be honest. So much criticizing over Koreans' dancing abilities, you'd think everyone here could make it onto Bandstand.
I know my answer: sit on barstool, bob head, try not to fall off.

Koreans and white male English teachers are pretty much equal in there dancing abilities.
Fairly low on any international comparison chart if one existed I'd imagine. |

I've got the rythm and the moves, but I haven't taken any lessons. My Cuban friends say that I am pretty good (for a white girl).
I think the problem with white guys and Koreans (huge generalization there!) is the lack of aquantance with the hip muscles. It all seems to cvome from the head and shoulders with many of them. Actually, it all seems to come from the head, "let the mind go and the rest will follow", or something like that. |

Thats true. When I really couldn't dance, I was often told to move my hips more.
Watching stuff like Salsa or particularly Samba gets you more in tune with what it should be all about.
Funny thing about white guys and dancing though. There is a southern bar in Itaewon with Line Dancing and everything else. Those guys CAN dance!! |

although i've been told by friends that i can't dance, the last comment noted came from a 14 year old kid who was sitting on a car with a couple of friends watching the girls and i dancing at one of our unofficial block parties.  he said, and i quote, "you got spirit hands." that's good? right? |
