Do you work to live or live to work?

Failing to plan means you're planning to fail.

Does anyone out there have any other examples where you switch words and come up with a new meaning?

I forget the quote exactly, something about an ignorant pessimist or cynic being somebody who is down on something he's not up on.

Awhile back here at Dave's I put about a hundred of them on the "Traveler or Tourist?" thread:

http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=58524&start=0

e.g., tourists wanna go to the country of the World Cup; travellers wanna go to World Cup countries

You could look for stuff from Groucho Marx or George Carlin and find plenty.

Groucho Marx: Time flies like an arrow, fruit flies like a banana

George Carlin: Atheists are members of a non-prophet organization
