I don't have anything concrete, but I used to work at a uni near Haany, the teachers who worked at Haany were not well paid and had to find their own apts, but their work conditions, generally, were very good and they all seemed like a cool bunch of people (this was a while ago, though). It is an oriental medicine university and has a very good TESOL programme - If you are happy in a small town I'd recommend it. I'd take it in a snap, if I were looking elsewhere. |

I know of several people there, including a couple department heads. Their TESOL program is solid and the people I know are solid as well. It doesn't look to be really that bad according to the link you provided.
I'd love to work there. |

Doesn't look too bad, actually. Let us know how things pan out. Plus, in that neck of the woods, 400K for housing might put you in passable digs. |

no worries, and good luck. I agree that by not providing housing, people may not be inclined to apply. But, if that doesn't bother you, then go for it. Best of luck and let us know! |

The pay is not the best, but it's not such a bad job. Daegu is a liveable city and it's close to Busan. If you can get some help finding a place you can probably live fine with a 400k housing allowance. Daegu is a little depressed now and there's lots of vacancies. |

yeah, the base salary (28-29 mil) isn't so good, but if you add the 1 mil for travel each year and the housing stipend (4.8 mil/year), it's up to almost 3 mil/month. not bad for daegu... |
