som shinhan online banking, whats its like? i have shinhan as a 2nd account to hold money in i dont want to spend and transfer money home with my main account. but i'd still like to have the online banking with shinhan. is it worth setting up, how much of a pain is it. i can have a korean (with perfect english) come do it with me no problems.

As a foreigner, you may only wire money home from ONE BANK.
Doesn't matter that you have online banking or not.
Even when you go to the teller's office, they will ask if you are registered through their bank with the government. If you are, no prob. |

| i should have explained but i had a class to go to. i dont really wanna transfer money home out of it. I use KEB for that and intend to keep doing so. KEB is awesome in my eyes. i will continue to use them for everything. i only really use shinhan to pay bills as there is one next to my public school. so i really just want the online banking to look at my balance really and maybe do some transferring domestically. nothing flash. almost pointless, but im a lazy bugger and would prefer to do this then go to the atm. |

I've had my main account with Shinhan for 11 years and in all that time, they have been good.
That said, I have only once managed to get the internet banking working properly. I must get that fixed when I back in Seoul next month. |
