Probably a long shot, but I'm going away from December 30th to January 3rd. Thought I'd see if anybody happened to need a place for a few days. It's a fully furnished apartment up the hill from Indigo's, in Haebangchon. Just looking for 20,000W a night... pm me if interested.

I was planning on throwing a huge New Year's Eve bash. Your place sounds perfect. I'll take it.

man, how cheap are you people?

I'd like to take the opportunity to offer my own short term housing.

This saturday I'll be going to Hongdae. I plan to leave at 7 pm, so let us meet at Hyehwa station. I will give you the keys to my apartment and then the place is yours! Checkout time is 6 am, when i get back from the bars all wasted like.

10,000 won.

I see your point... but it's really just a matter of typing out an ad in twenty seconds and, if it comes to it, meeting someone down the street, walking them back to my place and giving them my keys. If that makes me cheap, so be it.

It's OK, you're not the first post like this I've seen on this board. I just think it's kind of weird that people going on vacation are so obsessed with getting some kind of return out of their rented apartments. Yours is definitely the shortest of these sublets, though.

Ha... yeah, I thought of it when I was writing, actually... 'is this pathetic??' But whatever... it's a mostly anonymous internet board, and why not try to score a couple free dinners?

How is this different from what hotels do?

I have a guy and his girlfriend staying for New Years for 100,000W. I paid 30,000W for my TV, and I'm taking my laptop, which is the only nice possession I have here, so I'll take down his name and passport number, and unless this guy feels the need to destroy my apartment and flee the country (while lugging my TV??) it'll mean I made a hundred bucks for doing absolutely nothing. But... wait, I'm an idiot.

Some people I don't get, either... like those on Dave's who sign onto threads they have no interest in other than to try to make someone they've never met feel stupid.

How much do you want to bet that this "guy and his girlfriend" willing to pay you 100,000 for the night are yanking your chain. Either that or you are lying. For 70-80,000 they can stay at a nice love hotel with big screen tv, net access, and big whirlpool tub.

I meant staying over New Years while I'm gone, for four nights, not only New Years Eve. I should have made that clearer. So he's happy because he's getting his own apartment for four nights, for the price of one or two nights in a hotel, and I'm happy, because I'm getting a hundred bucks for doing nothing... or I'll be happy as long as he doesn't turn out to be an arsonist or something. Jeez... some of you people are pretty paranoid.

It's really strange to me that I have to keep refuting people. All I wanted was to rent out my apartment. I mean can anything be posted here without people turning up to s hit on each other's desires and opinions and ways of doing things?
