My Korean female friend is on the attractive side. She is single, and often asks me for advice about the foreign guys she meets. Her most recent date was quite hilarious.

She met this guy in JJ's (used to be JJ Mahoney's, right?) at the Hyatt. He ends up driving her around in "his" very expensive sports car. Since then, she's met the guy several times, and he's never once had his car. Each time, it's a new excuse. He takes the subway. Oh, he took the bus. Oh, my car is in the shop. The guy says he's independently wealthy and a millionaire, but is currently jobless. He doesn't take her to expensive places.

She wrote him off. We both got a laugh out of that one. We wonder who he borrowed the car from that night.

Oh dear. This is certainly one chap who's either rather nave when it comes so such things or a complete idiot.

You should tell her to ask him out again but make her insist that she wants to head out in 'his' beautiful car to see the countryside and then off to a swanky hotel. Always worth milking it for one final giggle. Smile

Man, there's no shame in rolling in a rental car. Works far better for one-nighters though

I know a few guys from Turkey who are living in Seoul. They tell girls that they are Italian because they think K girls like Italians better than Turks.

So if guys are willing to turn their back on their country and heritage, then lying about a car is to be expected.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought that JJ's was a prime location for gold-diggers on the hunt for a rich bf or sugar-daddy.

I can't tell if that is a real girl or a cartoon.

The story is not great and smacks of you wanting to tap that. But of more importance, is the girl in your avatar a certain student from Hawaii?

I think the OP has effectively confirmed your thought with the focus on the car and does not take her to expensive places
