I just realized that my passport came back with an "M" under entry on the visa, which I'm assuming means "Multiple Entry" and therefore saving me the trouble of having to acquire this multiple entry visa myself. Would that be correct?

Mine has the same thing. I have left and re-entered seval times, so I think that is what it means.
