|
|
I first arrived in Korea in late July 2008 and extended my contract for 2 months, finishing at the end of September 2009. Instead of signing a 2-month contract, however, my school and I signed another one-year contract and my ARC was extended until July 2010. I did not hand in my ARC when I left Korea in October.
I'm now in the process of getting ready to come back to Korea in February. Will there be any issues with getting a new visa, provided my last school called immigration to tell them I had left and to cancel my visa?
Thanks~ |

You are supposed to give your ARC card when you leave. I have never been in this situation, but I would pretend I was planning on coming back and all of a sudden something came up which prevented me from returning. I would try to return it then to the Korean consulate in my home country.
Or, say you simply lost it.
If they didn't buy it and fined me, I would pay the fine and then start all over. However, I WOULD NOT wait until I actually wanted to return to resolve this |

Thanks for your reply. Now I'm getting worried...
Can someone confirm this or give some more input? |

I don't know. I'm in the same boat as you. I left in Feb 2008 and will be back in Feb 2010. Never handed in my ARC. I'm hoping that since it's been two years it won't matter. I don't even know where it is. |
