Yes, of course.
Some places will insist that you have an alien card, others won't. I know for sure you can get a card phone with your passport at Yongsan Electronics Market in Seoul and at the shops beside the army base in Songtan. |

Yes there is. There's a huge American army base. It's called Osan Air Force Base and the entrance is right beside the pedestrian shopping street in Songtan. I've been there many times. |

Yeah. That'd be an airforce base, not an army base. There's a difference. A BIG difference . |

It's a big difference, not a technicality. There is an Air Force base and an Army base within a few miles of each other. Some new guy gets in the taxi and says "take me to the army base" and they end up at Humphries, while someone else says "take me to the air force base" they end up at Osan. Finally, if you think it's just a technicality, refer to the airmen at osan as army guys and vice versa at humphries and see how well it goes over.
Remember, close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. |

It's more than a technicality. It's like comparing a 4 * restaurant to a McDonald's, yes both are restaurants, but thats the only similarity. |

Anyway, some places will give you a pay-as-you-go phone with just your passport. Check with the guys at Technomart. |

Just get a phone in Itaewon that uses the pre-paid cards. I find it's a lot cheaper since you only pay for what you use. |

So just which is the Mickey D's? Because I know that the Army spends most on training where Air Force types are liable to be loafing in the lap of luxury, spending it's dough on HMW stuff rather than training troops. |
