Hi. Im looking for some pointers and/or inside knowledge on 3 different things:
-Gangneung. I cant find any information on this site about what it is like to live here. The best I have found is that it is a nice coastal area which is very little information in itself, and you always have to be careful of your sources of information. I were sent this link by the recruiter: http://www.gangneung.go.kr/eng/ but as I say, this is a bias source of information.
-ILS language institute. I cannot find any information at all on this school so again, any information is very welcome. The recruiter sent me think link: http://www.ilsk.co.kr/ but its not working (which makes me feel a bit dubious!). The hours are 9-6 and wage 2.1, also, there are 3 other foreign teachers there.
-The recruiter that gave me this information. She insisted that she is an experienced recruiter (and also that the school is reputable!) and this should play heavily on my decision of recruiter and school... it does, so any information about this recruiter is also very welcome. Posts on the job site as Eduream and has an email address of [email protected] .
The only problem I have with this job (if all the information i have been given is correct) aside from the fact that I have been told so many times Seoul or perhaps Busan is where 'it is at' is the start date of Feb... i would like to start earlier. I have all docs ready so what are my chances of finding a more immediate job... especially at Seoul or Busan...
Thanks in advance. Chris. |

Gangneung is 4 hours driving but is a great place if you don't need the luxuries of a big city.
The seafood is just great there.
All the rest seems very uninspiring unless you like lots and lots of nature. |

Thanks for the info...im actually applying for a place in Busan. I just wanted to know if the recruiter was actually reputable. I've just looked at my contract and it doesn't seem right. i have posted it on the contrac t review site here. there are definitely a few things that aren't right, like tax, housing, overtime pay, scheduled hours and termination period. im gutted cos its in a great location, i just dont wanna get screwed over! |

Hey! Did any of you end up working at ILS school? I've been offered a job with them and any information y'all could give me about working for them would be great. Like y'all, I've had a difficult time finding information about the school. |
