Anyone have anymore information about this? They're gonna set up the ramp on Gwanghwamun Plaza. I know the opening ceremonies are Friday at 6 PM, but I couldn't find any other information on when it would be happening Saturday and Sunday. Any links besides this one?

I am guessing that it will be Americans doing the display.

Koreans are pussies on snowboards.

Found more information in the Korea Times

http://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/news/special/2009/12/177_56563.html

No mention of times, which would've been helpful.

I went to the X-Games in Seoul a while ago. Really cool. NoBrain even played.

But the turnout was embarrasingly low. For a city with millions of people, they sure don't support events very well. The frickin event was free for Chrissakes.

Say that when you go to a Korean soccer game. Perhaps Koreans know nothing about snowboarding or "big air".

I've been to a Korean soccer game. The crowd was tiny and the only people making noise were the ones sitting at the ends of the field/pitch.

Koreans don't care about soccer. The turnouts for K league games are equally embarrassing.

But once Koreeeaa wins a world cup game or two, the bandwagon ensues.

I think that you boys should stop going to see Seoul FC or some meaningless national team friendlies and head out to Suwon. Very good crowd...very supportive and vocal.

Nice. I was trying to figure out how they were gonna set that up since Gwangwhamun Plaza isn't very large. Should be a great event.

Should be. There were World Cup qualifying rounds (or something like them) that also took place here on TV last year.

Hey guys,

I'm hoping to go to this tomorrow. Does anyone know if the event is still on? It's been raining down here in Daejeon for the last day and I looked at the weather and have seen that it's been raining in Seoul as well. Also, looking at the temps right now, it looks like it's not even going to go below freezing tonight and tomorrow is supposed to be 10C in Seoul. I'm just curious as to how they'll patch up the snow that melts away in the rain.

If anyone knows if this is still happening or if it's been delayed or cancelled (especially tomorrow's), please let me know.

I found a schedule of events here: http://blog.naver.com/tuffchul?Redirect=Log&logNo=70075351673

Thanks!
