Hi Ladies

I have a question for those of you with experience buying 'delicates' in Korea.

What are some stores you would recommed for buying these items? Most of the places I have seen around (Japanese brands like Aimer feel...amongst others) are incredibly tacky, have childish patters, overzelous frills or grannie panties.

Also...is it just me, or do Korean bras only have 75 (34) to 85 (38 ) band widths? I need a 32 (70) bandwidth and cannot find it anywhere.

Could you recommed any places please?

Hi Freeghen,

Have you asked some of your Korean female co-workers about this?

I've bought sports bras in Korea, but I bought the Western brands (Nike, Lecaf). At the local Addidas shop, they had a dressing room where I could try the bras on properly. Unfortunately when I was there all the employees were men, so I felt a bit uncomfortable asking them questions about bras.

However, at the local Lecaf store they didn't have a dressing room, so I had to try on the sports bras over my clothes. Despite that, the Lecaf sports bra fit me perfectly.

For me, metric sizing measurements are more accurate than Imperial sizing measurements.

In your post you mentioned that Japanese bras have "an Aimer feel" to them. Can you please explain in more detail. Thanks.

^ Aimer and some of those Japanese brands are just plain tacky. Cheap bras that feel either foamy or hard as a rock. I think some Korean brands are pretty (Eblin has some bras that rival VS in prettiness factor and beat them in a price battle) but most of my bras, I still buy when I'm at home. Have you checked out G-market for foreign brands? There's bound to be more of a size range there, too.

I agree that Aimerfeel have patterns that are.. less than desirable. But they do have simple bras that are more *normal*.

They have the usual big brands here, too - wacoal, triumph, fila etc..

I've bought bras from the Calvin Klein shop in Myeong-dong and they were good.

I agree, Aimerfeel does have some decent stuff. It's not all tacky. I would also recommend g-market or ordering online. Victoria's Secret ships to Korea as do some other similar companies.

You might also try a department store like Lotte or Hyundai.

Thanks for the info Smile

I used to really like The Aimer Feel Brand when I lived in Korea back in 2004 and when I was living in Japan in 2006. I bought all my unmentionables there as they had 32 (70) B in abundace as well as a total lack of grannie panties.

However, i've found since I came back to Korea 5 month ago, that Aimer Feel has really gone downhill in terms of style. I am in my late 20's now and don't really want to wear super frilly, shiny - spandexy underwear. They don't really seem to have too many 'sophisticated sexy' or 'basic' styles - they tend to go more for the 'lolita style'...if you catch my drift.

If you like the "sophisticated sexy" styles, check out Eblin. They go for a kind of...Marie-Antoinette-inspired lingerie?

I am a 32/70 band size also. I have luck in the department stores like Lotte or Hyundai, but I can't find my cup size anywhere else. The bras are plain (some lace and not flashy) and not as tacky as the ones for smaller cup sizes. I usually end up buying Wacoal. Most of the panties to match were granny panties, but I assumed it was because I am bigger than a B cup.

Edit: My point is maybe they have the same styles in smaller sizes. You can ask because sometimes they hide the simpler ones. That happened to me in Japan and here the sales ladies find my bras from a drawer that are not on display. My message wasn't clear before.

Honestly....
besides a sports bra the only time I bought lingerie was when I went on Summer Vacation in Shanghai and nearly passed out when I turned the corner and saw an H&M. My immediate thought was "I can buy bras!"
My friends ordered some on the internet.
Aparently there is a really good shop in Incheon as well.
