Couple questions...
First, is there anywhere that has them in stock in Seoul?
Second, when I bring it back to the US will I need anything but a plug converter?
Thanks! |

I'm also considering getting a PS3 slim here in Korea and have a few Q's too...
Is it region locked for blu ray movies and dvd's also? (i've noticed the blu ray and dvd have different region groupings just to be more confusing) ...
Do those of you with one already order in blu ray films from the US? - say from Amazon etc.. Blu ray seems much cheaper in the US and UK now but still pricey here..
Does the ps3 upscale regular dvd's?
Does a PS3 bought in Korea have english language menu options?
If i buy games in Korea are they all in Korean only? or is there always english language options/audio for these?... |

1. The Blu-ray movies you should have no problem playing (S. Korea, Japan, and North America uses the same Region code) DVDs however are Korean region only (region 3)
2. It's pretty much the same price if you add in shipping. The Blu-ray films usually have the English audio and the subs are softsubbed so you can remove them and watch the movies like what you would normally see in the U.S
3. Yes DVDs do upscale
4. It should have english menu on it, but I'm not sure. I don't have a Korean PS3 but some should tell you if they do.
5. Depends on the game. Most games have english options with few exceptions. They do tell you on the box though if it has english (written in korean of course) |

For futher reference, there is a website called Google.
Sorry, some of these questions are just... yeah.
If you do end up buying PS3's, though, add me on PSN! "oxiclean_" |

| Yongsan isn't the only place that you can buy PS3's. There's plenty at Technomart. Find the one nearest you. Pricing could be different though. |

| Not always the best idea to purchase a PS3 from one region and take it home. For one, you'll be stuck playing DVD's from the original region. Blu-rays are different regions, though. Another thing is that additional features like Netflix may be locked out on your system if it's not a USA system (once you go to the USA). |

Looked around Yongsan yesterday.
120GB - 400,000
250GB - 440,000
I wasn't ready to buy yet, so I didn't haggle, but those are the lowest prices I was given. |
