My school just informed me that they want me to end my contract two months early to coincide with the start of the new semester in March 2010. That's fine with me as the main perk was the long vacation which ends Feb 28th, the school itself is a prototypical mismanaged crapfest.

The thing is I haven't saved what I'd like and want to give a go teaching adults for a few months but not commit to a full 1 year contract.

Would one of the big chains like CDI or the like take on somebody for a few months provided that i have my LOR and everything, thereby being ready to start right up? I have a university degree in ESL, 2yrs teaching, and will most likely get a good recommendation so I think my qualifications will make me stand out. I wouldn't' mind the hours so long as I was just banging out a few months and saving that 돈.

Any insight would be 나이스 .

The new school is only going to be worried about what it costs them. You are already here so you dont need airfare. Im not sure about how extending a visa works, I cant imagine the costs are the same as getting an entirely new visa and maybe you dont even need an extension. I dont know how long is left on your visa. Im sure its all do-able if youve got an LOR.

They don't do this for 2 months with E2 visa holders. Maybe if you have your own place on an F visa.

Could I work something out like "I'll sign for a year, but we both agree I'll leave at X date"?

Hi, Old Gil,

You could try to cruise worknplay.co.kr for the P-T corporate gigs and fling your resume to several different agencies. Who knows? You might be able to work something out. Best of luck.
