A friend of mine told me that he got strep throat a few days ago, and I'm feeling a bit of a sore throat myself now.

I plan to go to a Korean-speaking only clinic tomorrow. Can any Korean speakers help me figure out how to ask a doctor for a strep test?

(I feel like doctors in Korea don't like to be told what is wrong before they can come to their own conclusions, so I understand I'm going about this the wrong way -- but I don't want a thousand other tests. Either it's strep throat or it's a sore throat and I need to man-up.)

Thanks!

The one time I got strep throat, pustules broke out all over my tongue. I could barely eat. I lost 17 pounds in a week.

Black, extra strong 'Halls' lozenges soothe the pain. Avoid acidic foods like tomato, lemon, pineapple juice. Gargle with warm salt water & aspirin. (Separately of course)

If you just have a bad sore throat for a couple weeks long and it doesn't really go away could that be strep?

It could be a lot worse than strep if you've had it for a couple of weeks. Get it checked. It's probably a chronic bacterial infection or a virus or pustules on your vocal cords, but get it checked.

It's not too commonly known, but the oxalic acid in green tea will kill almost anything, including bacteria, viruses, and even cancer cells.

The thing is, you want lots of the stuff. Make super-strong green tea, from the freshest leaves you can get. Drink as much as you can. It works for me!
