I'm confused; do I have to purchase this in order to type in Korean and read it on my computer? With Vista I just had to install the language bar and keyboard. Google is redirecting me to the MUI pack, but I don't want to change all the windows and options into Korean, I just want to be able to type and see Korean and not wingdings.

Nothing has changed. Typing and displaying Korean on an English computer is the same as its always been.

On the keyboard option, I added Korean. It says that to switch from E-K I need to hit the left alt-shift, but it's not working. Do I need to install the language pack? I look for the Korean pack on my computer, but that language isn't even an option.

If you correctly added Korean to the Keyboard Input section of your Languages choices in Control Panel, then all you should need to do is click the 'A' at the bottom right of your screen to change it to a '가', then hit the language key on the right of your space bar. You should then be typing in Korean.

You do not need to install the Languages Pack for Korean!! That will change your whole computer to Korean. Only Vista/Windows 7 Ultimate and Premium allow you to do this anyway.

Language packs are downloaded from MS.

It took me a few days to work, but it finally did. My laptop is new, so maybe it was a little buggered. Thanks!
