Think that 32 sq. meters is about 10 pyoung (9.7).

Hi,
Side note - nothing to do with renting my apt - but more for anyone looking to rent in Korea...
When we were first looking for a place, we went off pyung size. We looked at apts between 10 and 20. The pyung system is totally screwed up. Sometimes it doesn't include the bathroom and the little square of lowered floor at the doorway. We gave up even looking at how much pyung houses were, and just visited. We looked at a 15 pyung house just before ours, and it was much smaller. Ours was advertised as 10 pyung, and we wern't going to even look as we thought it would be too small, but turned out to be bigger than the 15 one before. So, when you're looking for a house in Korea, never go off pyung. Just, go look.

May I ask how you are getting the stuff you are not selling back to NZ? You getting part of a shipping container? how much are you paying and what company are you using?

i got quotes from 2 removal companies. quite different prices. they both quoted on 5.6 cubic m (we got them to quote on taking most of our furniture, as we'll take whatever we can't sell)

As it's only a bit of stuff, and we don't have to rush getting the furniture to NZ, we are going with the cheapest option, which is a share container. You need to wait until other ppl have stuff to send to NZ to fill the container up. The guy said it should only take up to 40 days.

door to door, incl packing and unpacking and placement in NZ, one quote was 2mil won, the other was US$2000.

The cheaper one was hyundai intl relocation. the guy speaks passable English, and he came to our house so I could point out everything we wanted to take. [email protected]

The other thing was free storage. Cheaper one offers 1 month free storage in Korea, and the expensive one offers 3 months. Its good, as we won't fly out till mid Feb, but if we rent our house, we can move the stuff out when we need to, and still be in NZ to accept it.
