I agree.
Even if Obama could bring peace and democracy to Afghanistan and Iraq and drag bin Laden through the streets of New York whilst riding a white and pink unicorn I would still say you paid to much. The best plan is to just cut the losses and march right on out of there. |
Maybe if you find yourself in a hole, you should keep digging until you get to the other side of the world? |

If you look back to about 40 years ago, one could say,
I can see some differences between Kennedy and Nixon. Kennedy started a war and didn't support it correctly, Nixon's now made a timetable to stop the war and apparently, provided proper support for its success

The comparison guava has made is perfectly valid, although he should reference Kennedy/LBJ and Nixon.
Kennedy/LBJ started and expanded a war, spent a lot of money and failed to win. Nixon promised to get us out, but first decided to expand the war to win it, then had to cut and run anyway.
Bush and Obama are following the same trajectory to financial ruin and failure. Eventually, Obama will declare victory or declare peace or some other phony claim before pulling out and watching some extreme islamic group take over again.
Only this time the USA and the world are starting in a much worse condition, since we are suffering from additional years of fascist-socialist ruin, destruction of the dollar, a 99 trillion National debt and an economy teetering on the brink between falling into a second downward spiral into depression or an inflationary depression. |

No one has sought either your approval or disapproval. If you are just going to crap on my thread, take your silly games elsewhere. |
No one has sought your threads. You elicit a response when you start one.
I could think that a member's threads are crap and I could think that a member's avatar is repulsive, but if I did think those things I wouldn't advertise it because its not polite, and its only one person's opinion.
Perhaps it would help to sing along with Mick...
