Have you ever worked at the Andong English Village? Supposedly they shut down the school, and now re-opened...looking for teachers...

If you know anything about the English Village in Andong plz let me know.

Thanks

Interesting. My first night was in Andong where my hagwon owner at the time lived, and I eventually moved to Yeongyang to work at his hagwon.

Now that I have already worked at a smaller village, I wonder what the experience would be like. There isn't much to do outside of classes there, and you might find it a bit boring/lonely at times.

I suggest you only take the job if you know you want that country and conservative lifestyle.

i meant the Andong English Village...it's not a hogwon...it's supposed to be run by the government...at least that's what the ad says..it has all the same benefits of a public school..it's just strange that it closed down in Septmeber (if it's sponsored by the government)...they got rid of their whole staff, and now are employing new teachers...i found that out after seeing the ad...it doesn't look too good to me...but i'm interested in knowing whether anyone on here worked there before, and what had caused it to close, etc...

I know a bit about Andong..i know that it's a smaller city, very traditional, so something i'd be interested in...

Yes, I know. I was saying I did something similar with GEPIK, and I lived in Andong. I wonder if it is a god position considering the location isn't that lively and people who like the city atmosphere might get bored and lonely in Andong.

Traditional cities are better for visiting in my opinion. Unless you have family or something it is hard to stay there for any long periods.
