Can anyone give me a link to the site where you can register for your tax return? Also, do you know if you move out of the country whether you're still eligible and how to go about getting the the refund check? Thanks. |

are you an employee or an independent contractor?
employees' taxes are usually filed by their employers.
contractors file their own.

call the taxman and ask him about the final return payment.

Thanks. We should be listed as employees so I guess the school will have to do it, although they've claimed they don't know anything about tax returns. I may be staying in Korea but my co-worker is leaving in two weeks and had some questions. |

haha dont know anything about tax returns. that's a good one.
call the tax office and see if youre even registered or if theyve been pocketing your deductions.
then call the pension office and check to see if youre registered with them and that you employer has been submitting your premiums. make sure you ask what amount they registered your income at - it's not unusual for employers to under-report earnings to reduce their premiums while still deducting the full amount from you. your portion should be 4.5% of your gross wage and they should be matching it. if youre from the right country, you can have all of that refunded to you.
pension number for your country is listed here:
