Had my brat 5th grade today. There's a smart kid in the class, but he's a right little shit and did he cop it today.....

My co-teacher saw it fit today to full on grab his ear like she was trying to pull it off, then flat out punched him in the head, then she grabbed a ruler and started beating him in the face and other parts of his body while madly screaming at him in Korean, brutal!!!

I don't want to start an anti-Korea thread, but have you seen anything like that? been here 3 years and I've never come across that level of violence in the classroom.

Worse as in........ with a student or just in general class room behavior?

One keeps pulling out a phone and making calls in the back of class. Another sabotages class: sits in the back and yells out answers. etc etc etc, take your pick.

I remember walking home from school and bumping into a male co-teacher who had been absent that day. He led me to a karoke room he preceded to get drunk on soju and phoned a coffee girl. Who later showed up.

i had an elementary kid crying because i forced him to sit down and do his homework. he was throwing a tantrum and screaming etc. the director came up and literally picked him up by the ears. he held him in the air against the wall and was saying stuff in korean...the kid's ear was bleeding because it was torn a little. i'm surprised that the parent only took the kid out of the school and didn't sue for child abuse.

Either in or out of the class.

The kid didn't cry somehow, he just gave her a nasty stare, victory to him.

One of my co teachers opened the fridge in the staff room the other day, sneezed into it and then closed it back up.

Did he call one for you too? If he gets a Coffee girl and you don't, that's just rude manners! Ha ha....

I don't mind this. Many of them do more harm than good.

One of my students swore (in Korean). My co-teacher took her into another room and beat her with a stick for a good 10 minutes.

Haven't seen any punching or kicking though.

Mine smokes in his classroom when he's too lazy to go to the stairwell or the washroom.
