I'm sure alot of expats are already aware of this Korean / Asian / online dating site.

I'm kinda of a geek with computers and have figured out some tips on how to exploit this site and not give money to the greedy bastards that run it.

It seems they are trying even unethical ways in stealing our hard earned cash.

Here are some safety tips and ways to exploit this site and basically use it for free & gain benefits from it.

1. I have figured out they are definitely scamming us with fake profiles.
* I tried the following I created 3 profiles of guys
* 2 of them had photos / 1 did not
* make sure you fill in the self intro as well.
* I also put 3 valid email addresses, gmail / hotmail / yahoo

2. I also found out that the more frequent you login your profile shows up at the front of the search results, good tip to use it for free.

3. But I found out they are scamming us, #1 I started to get emails from girls, some attractive some not, but here is the fishy part.

*only the 2 profiles i made received the same mail / lettter from the same girl. identical letter content, also a crazy thing was i viewed this girls profile and saw that she was a BASIC MEMBER, meaning she never paid and couldn't send mail.

*my profile with no photo did not receive the mail.

-I think they are sending fake mass letters, then to further conclude my probing, i actually paid for one of the photo members i made.

- i replied back to the 'fake girl member' just to prove my point, of course no reply back.

* I was scammed $25 bux.

- Then i went further and put a photo on the profile with no photo i made earlier.

*Guess what? A few days later, the same thing happened to my 2 member accounts that i didn't pay for, a same girl, sending a same letter, that has basic member type.

* Do they think they are slick? my profile i paid for didn't receive the letter, duh? i already paid and got scammed they had nothing to get from me.

* to further my findings, once my paid member expired, you are not going to believe this~

***All 3 member profiles received identical letters/ same girl / basic member of course.

** I know , I know you can say I'm a loser to waste time and money, i should go out and meet ppl, blah blah, i just really wanted to get to the bottom of this and tell everyone about it.

***************************************************
Conclusions:

What ever you do, don't pay for this scam site.

If you do decide to pay for this, don't pay if you receive a mail from a basic member, its fake.

I think there are some real members, if you really want to take a chance pay and send mail to ppl u like.

DON'T PAY TO REPLY, you will be fooled into giving away your hard earned money.

*How to use for FREE.
Put a photo / lots of photos / put a self intro /very detailed / login alot / so you get more exposure
send lots of winks/ but don't pay, wait for them to mail you.
that's it, it can work or not, but whatever you do, please don't be fooled & pay for this garbage.

seriously its not worth it.

***Also take a look at their page rankings at the bottom of the page, its garbage, any website over 100K is terrible meaning there are barely any visitors daily.

I know, i know my writing sux, oh well, im a teacher, but a gym teacher, so sue me.

**I hope no one else gets robbed by these bastards**

by the way i tried calling and mailing them for my money back, guess what, no reply, they said NO REFUND, AND I SAID TO THEM F.U.!~

IF ANYONE ELSE HAS ANY OTHER EXPERIENCES WITH THIS GARBAGE, please share.

I became suspicious about that site when I started to receive messages from a K girl who seemed really eager to meet me as soon as my account expired. She looked really hot in her picture. Looks like the site is registered in the name of Kwangbock Choi.

I don't doubt they create "hot girl profiles" to get guys to pay for the service. Guys are the ones that keep those sites alive. Girls almost never have to pay to use those sites, because a guy will pay almost anything to be able to talk to her.

However, I don't think it's as big of a scam as you're making it out to be. I've used it for quite a while (off and on, depending on if I'm dating someone seriously or not.) And I'm pretty happy with it. I've never received a mail from a fake profile, as you proclaim. I have talked to some rather gorgeous girls and eventually met them. Believe it or not, there are super hot girls on there. Some times they're just shy about meeting foreigners, so online they can filter out who they like and be a bit more discreet, rather than just walking up to a guy in a bar. Perhaps I'm considered attractive enough for them to follow through on and you're not, haha, j/k.

The real deception is when girls put up pictures of gorgeous chicks that aren't themselves. Some guys do it to. That shizzle is just evil. Why would someone create a profile, throw up pictures of someone else, then try to meet that person looking completely different? I've seen that happen a lot.

Also, individual members will spam you. They create a basic email, no real specifics. Find a list of guys/girls they're moderately attracted to and just copy and paste it all over the place to see who writes back. Whoever writes back, they then pick and choose to further contact with. That's nothing new. It's been going on dating sites since their inception.

But believe what you will. I don't lie and will honestly tell you... yes, I have met plenty of girls online. Some were honestly looking there for a guy/relationship. Some were looking for a fling or one nighter. Others were total liars and nothing about them or their profiles were true. But most of my gf's in Korea have come from online and a fine place to meet the kind of girl I'm looking for at that time. And yes, a few of them were just as gorgeous as their photos. Some, just unbelievable kinds of hot.

I met my wife on this service.

Another huge tip:

Women often use their cyworld account as their ID. Type their ID at the end of www.cyworld.com/ and you might get her e-mail for free (if she's real).

Someone had a great post about how their card rejected the charge from UBLove a few weeks after he joined... essentially, he used the service for free. He got a scathing letter from UBLove threatening a massive lawsuit. Quite hilarious. If that person is still on here, please re-post that e-mail.

Worth it for a month or two, but it was more work than getting girls in a club...probably would have been much better if I spoke Korean back then

P.S. If you're waiting on a girl that has a paid membership to email you... you're going to be waiting a looooong time.

Do you know how many guys on those sites? Just log out and do a random search as "female looking for male." Hundred of pages come up. Literally, you would be unable to go through them all. Why would a girl cough up the money to send mail when there are dozens upon dozens of those guys that will pay to send it first?

The only emails I got from girls that were paid members and I wasn't were from call girls looking to increase their client list and rather large, rotund, type girls that look like they fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. Or the odd adjumma that wants to marry the first guy that will ask.

Truth of the matter...

I've met some hotties, but overall, stick to the clubs I'd say...now granted, if your decent looking and speak korean it will probaly ratchet up the replies quite a bit....I'm thinking of jumping in just due to my improved korean skills....

Online dating is addicting... I would just keep it running in the background all day waiting for any girl to talk to me. Crappy results after 1 month so I quit. Then hot girls in real life started flying toward to me and I've been doing well ever since. Never goin back online...

Oh yeah, they are scammers for sure. I tried out their membership and when it was close to expiring, I, all of the sudden, started getting these hot chicks sending messages to my inbox. Then, when I decided not to re-new, I would get messages from these Japanese, Russian, Korean-American women who were pretty smoking hot. Yep, when they want that money, they try everything to hook you in.

I watched that Youtube thing. They 'managed' the introduction and put on a show and dance and for some reason the Japanese (goober-looking geek) boy seemed to like that.
Maybe it's a cultural thing ...

I think I'd be wary of a profiler person who works in the office. I mean, here you guys just want dates whenever you want not to have some third parties going thru your file looking at all your information - that's no good.
Better things were kept private between you and the girl I would expect.

What about that other site the one where you meet desperate housewives, is that the same setup as this Ublove?
