How small or large is your school-provided single apartment? I'm curious about what's out there. Where do you live and whats the size?

I'll start:
Ilsan with a 5.5 pyeong (about 18 sq m) studio (no loft).

That includes bathroom and all the closets.

Chuncheon, public school, 3 bedrooms, 2 balconies.

This thread is going to descend into bloodshed soon enough, but yeah, there's that. Chuncheon = the best ever.

hagwon-provided 2-bedroom place with a view

i know a middle school teacher with a three-bedroom apartment that i swear is right out of the old sitcom Three's Company

small town jobs, both hagwon and ps, often come with bigger places

Congratulations you have the smallest apartment ever. 7 pyeong is way too small, how do you live in 5.5 pyeong?

i lived in an 8 pyeong place that included elevator and maybe something else (i didnt have a parking space so that better not have been part of it). it was about 4.5-5 pyeong of usable floor space (there was a big cabinet that covered my air conditioner, wonder if that counted). just don't plan on keeping a girlfriend.

i live in a more "typical" officetel now, i'd guess it's 9 or 10 pyeong total. at least i can stretch and have both a kitchen table AND a computer desk now.

had a huge place in an osaka, japan suburb for about 50-100USD less. kitchen separate from tv/guest room, separate from bedroom, bathroom with a bathtub. yeah, korea is so cheap.

I used to live on 18 sqm during my college days for 6 years Embarassed

9 sqm living/sleeping space, 9 sqm shared for kitchen, bath and closet.

Only one window but it was practically the entire wall, so the place was much brighter than I was.

I even had people stay with me for a couple of months so you might argue that there was still wasted space.

I have an 18 pyeong officetel (but I pay for it myself). I saw what was being offered and decided just to get one myself, wasn't difficult. Save up some key money (5 million is enough for most officetels)

In the same boat as curiousaboutkorea: about 5.5 pyeong, including bathroom, but no closets. Living in the boonies is no guarantee for a bigger place Confused (I'm on Jeju).
