Where near Hooker Hill? Let's say, I just walked out of Seoul Pub. I take a right out of the door and walk down the main Itaewon road till I get to the next intersection after the current (Geckos, Hamilton Hotel) one. Then... |

The Foreign Food Mart (usually crowded on the weekend) is on Hooker Hill - just before What the Book book store. From Itaewon station take exit 3 (Hamilton Hotel and exit 1 are on the other side of the main Itaewon street) and walk past the polce station and KB bank (both on your right). Take a right onto the street that's just before the fire station (I think there's a Dunkin Donuts at the corner) , walk up the hill for a about a minute and look for the Foreign Food Mart sign on the left side of the street.
I've seen Pita bread sold at various places around Seoul, including Costco.
The Hannam Supermarket (and the Dandy Grocery on your right just past the entrance) also carry pita bread - and the supermarket also has whole grain German rye and a healthy 5-grain bread. From the Hangangjin station (just past Itaewon and heading towards Yaksu station) take exit 2, cross the pedestrian bridge after veering to the right at the corner, and walk a minute or two till you come to the Volvo Building. There's a sign above their basement entrance.
Lotte Supermarket in the Lotte department store at the Hanti station (Bundang line also carries some pita bread and many health food products (including Amy's brand pizzas...) |
