|
|
I live in Korea now. I lost my ARC and need to get another. I read on the website that a 35mm by 45mm photograph is required. Where can I get this done? I have a 7cm by 5cm photograph. Will a photo store resize it to the required size without a negative? I have a digital file because I scanned it.
http://www.hikorea.go.kr. This is information I got from: Information > Immigration Guide > Foreigner Sojourn > Foreigner Registration > Required Documents for Foreigner Registration. The actual form, if you download it, has a box for a photograph size of 35mm by 45mm. |

just go to any photography studio and get a new one taken. take the measurement you need and a new set of passport photos (5 or 6) will cost 10-15000 won and you can usually pick them up a couple hours later. some immi offices even have a photo booth where you can take your own picture while youre there. they may even have your old one saved and you might not need a new one at all. call immi and ask them. 1345 |

For a replacement ARC you simply need 10k won and an application form (from the local office). They simply print off a new one while you wait (from the existing one on file).
No need for new photos.

In case this doesn't work, you can get the photos done at many subway stations in the little photo booths or homeplus, emart, lotte mart or homever. |

I actually found a portrait photograph taken of me on photo day at my school, so I'm going to use that. Besides, the original photo on my old ARC was terrible. |

When I applied for my ARC, they had a photobooth at the application office so I just did my pics there. |

I second this. If your school took a photo of you, they should have a copy of that photo and just tell your IT person to print you a copy. Shouldn't be a problem (I received 8 when I asked for 1). |

I needed a replacement ARC and went to the Mokdong Immigration on Monday. They required a 3.5cm x 4.5cm photo and 10,000krw. Was supposed to take three days but after stressing the need for it and re-newing my re-entry stamp so I can leave on Sat, they did it in 24hrs. The re-entry was done whilst I waited.
There is a photo booth there.

many subway stations have little photo booths. I did mine in those for a couple thousand won. In colour and is currently adorning my ARC. |
