Man, I just bought a Sony KDL-32XBR9 from jandr.com this morning. I paid about as much for that 32" TV as for your 42". I wish I had seen this then. Good luck with your sale! |

I've got one!
It's not hooked up to tv cable though; instead, it's used as my computer monitor! across the room, use wireless keyboard and wireless mouse, absolutely no noticeable loss of picture quality.
Streaming live hockey games through nhl.com is fan-tas-tic!
Dave's looks funny though, so huge! |

Hmmm, I get HD through cable on the component input so I would imagine so. |

component can do 1080i not 1080p the cable you are receiving is not 1080p, your tv is simply upscaling |

That is not true. Some TVs are capable of 1080p over component, while others aren't. That's why Gaber was asking. Here is an amazon review mentioning 1080p over component. I know this doesn't prove anything, and it's not about this particular TV, it was just the first hit that popped up on Google. http://www.amazon.com/review/R1CWUH50VT0OS9/ref=cm_cr_pr_viewpnt#R1CWUH50VT0OS9 I haven't been comparing TVs lately, so I don't know if 1080p over component is now the norm or not. I know it wasn't common 2 years ago, though. |

So this one is the newer version? I see it's 2ms over the 30FD which is 4ms...but 700K is a good price. |

Even if it only did 1080i over component, the resolution of both 1080i and 1080p are identical: 1920x1080.
Where it becomes an issue is with TV's 3+ years old that had issue accepting some signals. Also, many people confuse 1080i with 1366x768 resolution, which is what sets sold as "1080i" will downscale too. In actuality, these are 768p TV's, but they fudge it a bit for sales.
Again, true 1080i will come through at the same resolution as 1080p. |

People are insane not to take this TV at this price...
I own the higher model (1 model above) of this TV... paid 1.4 million for it exactly one year ago...
I would buy this TV in a second if I didn't have my TV.... it's great.... |

May be a good deal...maybe not.
The LG Xcanvas FD series vary between 860,000 ~ 1,000,000
Not an awful deal @ 700,000 deal, but still not as smokin' as all here are saying. Used is used...take your chances. I'd rather go new, and not LG. |
