I have to agree with pkang, I cant see China idly standing by and allowing North and South Korea to reunite unless, the US was removed from the scene and Korea was a vassal state of the "New Improved Centre of the World" China.

People argue business will change China, but it hasn't changed the government so far. China if it actually cared about NK would have helped it adapt to the world that now exists rather than just supporting it by providing aid.

Even SK doesnt want to see a NK collapse. They know how much Germany paid to be reunited and they have less money than Germany did at the time of reunification, and there is no difference between the two situations.

Both were casualties if you will of the great divide. (cold war)
