Sounds great.
However, how much are you paying to go? I just spent a few min. looking at Kayak, Expedia, Cheapflights etc. and from Busan to Guam between Christmas and the middle of Feb. it's from $600 or so in Feb. to over $700 per person at the end of Dec. to middle of Jan. Wow. Is that the going rate? Did you book online or find a cheap Korean consolidator to help you get a good deal?
Thanks for any advice. |

Korean Air was giving a about a 1,300,000 +/- for he first week in Feb. That's round trip for 2.
I cannot find a direct flight from Busan to Guam. If any one else has please tell me where to find it.
I have found direct from Incheon it's got a flight time of about 6 hrs. Orbitz and those companies have layovers in Japan. |

I just checked onlinetour.co.kr (site is in Korean only), for a 1 week roundtrip in early February from Busan to Guam (only checked one set of dates)
575,000 KRW after taxes, or a little under $500.
The site only works in internet explorer - though is easy enough to search, even if you can't read understand much Korean (helps if you can differentiate between Incheon/Busan/etc. though). But I suppose you could just look them up in Wikipedia and go from there. Booking could be more problematic without a more fluent friend helping you though.
I have no idea on prices beyond that. Just checked quickly, as that sight usually has the best prices I can find for Korean-originated flights. |

| Odd question - do they stamp your passport in Guam? Just curious...as when traveling from the US (as an American) - I was stamped the one time I returned to JFK airport in NY (though not on leaving), but was not stamped in any way on 3 separate trips through SFO in San Fran. I'm not really clear what the procedure was/is. Just curious. |

| Maybe I'm just stupid or something but I still can't find any direct flights from Busan to Guam. All of them go to Japan or Incheon then Guam. |

| There are a few airlines that go direct from ICN. Japan Airlines has the cheapest so far at around 500,000 with taxes and a going and returning layover in Narita. I think that's what I will do. |

| I went from Incheon to Saipan. It was Asiana and it took 3 hours 45 minutes to go there, and 4 1/2 hours to come back. |

| Korean Air has 2 flights per day. One that leaves around 6:30pm and one at 8pm. The one at 6:30pm now flies through Osaka, so it takes 6.5 hours. The other one is direct, about 4-4.5 hours. |

Have a great time!
And for the person that asked...an American should never receive a stamp from immigration from America. Korea gives their citizens stamps, but America doesn't. So no...no stamp from Guam. |

| Where can the reasonably priced hotels be found? Everything on-line starts at $70, and that's for places that appear to be dumps. |

It's America. I doubt places are very cheap.

I had a difficult time finding rooms for cheap. I am also very cautious of very cheap places. I am not spoiled but after being in a few Korean hotels and saw the filthy bathrooms I get turned wary.
I booked at the Ramada with a car rental package for $119 a night. I thought that was pretty good.
What I am finding difficult is a map or guide. I keep getting the same old stuff. I guess I'm gonna have to find a guide or something. |
