Hey guys,

I just took a position teaching in Daejeon. Ill be showing up in Korea just before new years to start teaching in January.
Just wanted to say hi to everyone living out there now and to ask about getting ready for a new years arrival.
Should I have small gifts and things ready for the boss or landlord or other people I meet when I arrive?
Any other tips you have for first arrival would be huge too.

Any way,
See you all in 2010!
Cheers

Heres a thread about Daejeon bars: http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=169715

If you are looking to party it up at a bar for NYE, I'd recommend Sponge or JRock. They are the largest of the expat bars, so there will be many people.

And as with all bars in Korea, if you meet a girl at any bar, get her the eff away from any male bartender ASAP.
