All the netbooks I've seen in Korea have been grossly overpriced, but this one seems to be a half decent price.
What do you guys reckon, is this a good deal? It's a 10 inch LED display, nice and bright (they had one running.) The keyboard was ok, but a little undersized for me. it had a 160 gig hdd and was running XP out of the box. |

I've got an MSI wind. Not sure what number it is. Only has an 80 gig drive though. XP too. My gf bought it for more last year for 660k.
I love it and use it every day. Weighs less than a kilo. If my homeplus has them for 400k, I'll buy another one. The battery on mine sucks, though, only about 1.5 hr life.
Mine had the Korean OS, of course, but for 20k my gf had a guy partition the drive and install an English OS, too. |

You get used to the keyboard after about a day - I've been using my Acer for almost a year as my primary computer and while it's not as high-powered as a desktop, it's perfect for day-to-day life.
Not as cheap as in North America, but that's a decent price for sure. |

Yup, I have one of those. I paid 700K with an extra stick of RAM (2GB) just over a year ago. It's a great machine, that is an absolute bargain. I think mine is a Wind 120. It has a bigger battery that gets about 3.5 hours and a 120 GB hard drive.
We will probably see similar or better specs for US$100 within 18 months. |

Well, went in and ordered it today, of course I forgot that korean shops seem to never keep stock, but tescos not having any stock was a bit poor, lol.
They offered to sell me a display Samsung n10 for 467,000, but i misunderstood, thought they meant new and bought it, then realised the guy was installing English windows on the display model, so backed out and got the msi.
I'm happy because I think I got a real decent bargain there. It's got a 160GB hdd as well which is nice. |

I just bought an Asus 1000HE. Similar specs to other netbooks except the battery Mine has the usual Atom processor (N280) 160GB HDD etc. Wireless N might be standard now, Bluetooth too. Battery claim is 9 hours Around 7 hours in reality! I got 2GB ram pre-installed for 499000. Running Windows 7 now. |

If I had purchased a netbook, I would likely have gone with a Wind. |

One review site. Not much separating each brand/model really. I got mine for battery life/price. |

All of the first gen netbooks are the same.
The next gen with nvidia graphics will have different price points and specs. Plus the screens are tending towards 10-11 inch. |

Sure.
Tiny trackpad on the wind was one point against it for my fat fingers. |

Yea, I can't think of any major complaints except for this. The one button left/right clicker deal with no divider is an absolute dog. |

I've got a first gen Asus eeepc 701 the thing seems ancient compared to most netbooks now. I'd think about an upgrade to the Nokia Booklet 3G if it were available with 3G service here. Apparently it has a 12 hour battery life! |

I so nearly bought one of those. The idea was for it to be a $100 laptop. That never really came to pass, but I think we will see something nearing that price point with the Wind 100 specs when the nvidia netbooks start coming out next year. |
