I have a dreadful cold and I called in sick to work today.

Last year in Korea, I had really bad bronchitis and I could not take time off from work without fighting with my boss over it.

I think that one is actually supposed to show up for work, act terribly, terribly sick, and then, somehow make one's boss think that it's a good idea to send you home.

When I get sick, I don't have the energy to put on a show, so my choices were to either shuffle through (word search anyone?) or to have an exhausting fight with my boss...and then there was the time when I was really, really sick and needed a second day off, when she banged down my door and made me go to work.

So, even though I don't feel well today. It's good to be home.

I'm surprised this has not been mentioned.

One name--- John Valby, in concert.

I saw him in 1993- unforgetable show.

The V sound. The Z sound. The F sound.

But seriously...

FRIED FOODS.

I have traveled the world, my friends. And fried foods are just not culturally appreciated the way they are here. Which is too bad. If you have experienced the bliss that is a deep-fried corndog, wait until you've tried a TRIPLE deep-fried corndog.

And hey, when I feel like variety, I just combine my soft drink and my favorite foods together into one manna-like substance.

Ladies and Gents, I give you...fried coke.

SummerMusicFestivals
They are omnipresent, of every variety and often free!
I miss having so much excellent and diverse music around.
