While on vacation, my lovely lady and I drank some Boddingtons. She loved it. Does anyone know anywhere in Seoul I can buy either cans or draught?
Many thanks.

Broughton Club in Seoul. They have scotch pies, curry pies,
Boddingtons, Bishops Finger, Bombardier, John Smiths and
even English crisps.

But, members only. You'll need to find a friend who is a member
to sign you in.

Is there any way I can become a member? I am a UK passport holder. Or if anyone here would be so kind as to sign me in, please get in touch.

I few of the seven-eleven's and GS-25's have it. HomePlus have it too. Not that difficult to find and I'm in Daegu.

Yeah, right. These must be the special GS25s that also have T-Bone
steaks, blue cheese, Cuban cigars, Lays potato chips, chip dip etc., etc.

He/she may be telling the truth. I've seen Kronenbourg at gs 25 and plenty of random beers at home plus and emart.

Forgive me Davepuff, but like Trinidad I am also a doubting Thomas. Is there anyway you can prove your claim?

Oh yeah, the Broughton Club also has Strongbow. Good drink if you
have nothing planned for the next week.

Strongest bottled tipple available there is a Trappist Ale. I forget the
exact name, but it is like drinking a bottle of wine. I've never seen so
many suits bumping into tables and slurring simple words in my life!

I've bought it from Home Plus and GS25 in the past. I'm not a big drinker of it, so I don't keep a look out for it every time I enter either establishments.

If you're really desperate, some of the WA Bar's stock it.

Short from actually taking a photo or lazer tagging a can for you, you'll just have to take my word.

Or not. Couldn't care less. Just trying to help.

I could well believe what Davepuff is saying. Homeplus has by far the best selection of imported beers and I've seen other beers in GS25 that you wouldn't usually expect to find in a Korean convenience store. They had Cobra Lager there for a while last year, for example.

However, might I just ask how long "in the past" it was? Not doubting what you say at all, but I could murder some Boddies and I keep my eyes fairly peeled for newly arrived beers whenever I'm in homeplus, which is pretty often. If you saw it recently, then I'll look harder. But if you mean something like a year or so ago, then I'll not get my hopes up quite so much.

I have also seen Boddingtons in Japan and in Taiwan, but that was a couple of years ago now. And I'm not sure whether to be encouraged by the first half of my preceding sentence, or discouraged by the last half of it!

I'd say I brought it within the last 18 months. I do recall seeing it within the last 6 months.

That's not to say ALL HomePlus's or GS25's have it. My HomePlus has an awesome range of beers includeing XXXX, VB, and a stack of European and Japanese beers.

I did have a Boddington's in Taiwan 6 months ago. Easy to find there, too.
