I'm coming back from the airport next week and will have to spend the night in Gangneung en route back to my place. I'll probably be getting into Gangneung bus terminal late Sunday night (around 1 or 2 in the morning).
I know there are several small hotels across the main road from the bus station, but I'm wondering if anyone knows if their counters will still be open that time of night on a winter Sunday.

You wont have any problem. You may have to wake up the deskclerk but theres always someone at those counters.
