I don't normally care what people wear...it's their thing, I say have at her and walk how ya wanna walk, wear watcha wanna wear, listen to watcha wanna hear.

I'm not one to say Korean fashion is too feminine, too poncy, too cheesy. In fact I'm usually one to say we Canucks can't dress at all. We are slobs of fashion, with our trendy back packs and courier bags, our scruffy hair, our rag tag sense of fashion, our loud music, our stupid tattoos (jeeze, is it really a sign of rebellion anymore?). Canucks are hardly the fashion templates of the modern world, unless of course you really like over sized hockey jerseys worn with pride on any occasion.

But today, I'm relishing my Canuckistan roots, my old tattered jeans, my wool sweater, my toque, my mountain bike, my loud tunes (a little reggae and rock at them moment).

I'm sick of my wife trying to get me to wear that silver suit, I'm tired of the looks of shame I get as I'm about to leave the house - "Are you wearing THAT?", I'm tired of the big black cars and ugly nonS- UVs, sick to death of the cheesy jeans she makes me wear, revolted by skiers and snowboarders in Korea with their colourful super expensive junk on the bunny slopes and most of all I despise ballads...despise them.

I ride a motorcycle not some suped up sedan, I have a big fat dirty truck back home and laugh at any thing calling itself an SUV with leather seats and rear wheel drive, I have holes in my jeans that I earned and didn't pay top dollar for, I wear a real tie with a shirt that isn't a pastel colour of any kind, I ski fast and don't care what my gear looks like...cause you ain't gonna get the chance to take a long look at it anyway, my music is whatever the hell I choose it to be and sure as shite ain't a ballad. I'm all crusty around the edges, unshaven and happy as hell about it.

I'm a waegook, an unfashionable waegook and I dream of the day I can burn the shiny silver suit my wife bought me!

Hahahaha, the silver suit.

There's a couple guys at my company that wear them. Some of them are so shiny they look chrome.

My wife bought me a silver suit. I kinda like it - but I have yet to break it out.

I'm waiting for a trip to Vegas so that I can get shi-faced and strut around the casinos in it.

The shiny suit had gone out of fashion for a while there, but I notice it has come roaring back.

Ugg boots are the fashion of the moment, for ladies. In my uni days a girl in a mini skirt paired with ugg boots was a sure thing. Roll on summer!

I bought a $50 silver suit for my open class, since my nice regular grey suit was damaged. Paired it with a plain white shirt and black/bits of purple tie.

It was loved by all!

I haven't noticed as many shiny suits with sparkly sequin ties as I did a couple years ago. Sadly I see just as many couple shirts. I can respect people regardless of what they wear, but if you are an adult for godssake dress yourself - don't have your wife or your mommy do it for you. Unfortunately I've met too many dudes here who can't accomplish this without help.

I wish I could claim it. I can't.

Neither can your friend. I've heard that at least 50 times, the first time being a good 8 years ago.

I was bent on buying a suit. Went to the local Homeplus or something at the time, and they had a tent with hundreds of suits. The guy was really nice, even though I was dressed like a beatnik. He offered up a few options before I had to stop him and ask: "Do you have any suits that aren't shiny?"
He quickly glanced at his colleague and together they replied: "Sorry, no."
Obsoyeo.

I must say, it does look alright on them.

On waygooks it looks silly.

On Native Koreans, it DOES look alright

The murse and silver suits rank right up there with some of the worst fashion sense in the history of the world.
