...in Itaewon. Where should I go? Where are the ladies? Didn't Hive get in on the free booze for broads thing, and if so, how is it?

What are cover charges at Helios, Hive, and... B1?? What sorts of crowds and opportunities await me??

It is Ladies' Night in Itaewon. It's also Ladies' Night in Hongdae at M2 and Q-VO.

I know that the cover at Helio's is W5,000 on most Thursday nights, but they might up it to W10,000 (plus free drink) for tonight if they anticipate a large crowd. B1 is W10,000 and a free drink every night if I'm not mistaken. The Loft, across the street from Helio's, has Ladies' Night tonight too, but it's not really club.

As far as Hongdae goes, Q-VO and M2 are both W10,000 + free drink. I prefer Q-VO and you can get in a lot quicker there than at M2.

Second part of your question:

Helio's is good to dance and/or talk. The only problem is that there might be a lot more GI's in there than usual thus meaning more competition. The Loft is cool for hanging out with other expats and talking. Q-VO is cool for dancing, they have a good DJ, and the girls are not bad. The girls at M2 are smoking but almost seem like the unapproachable type and it's so loud and packed in there it's hard to have a good time.

If you're female, the Loft is great for drinking 100% for free on Thursdays. Do they still do that? I hope they still do that.

Thanks for the info. I've never been in Hongdae for ladies night. Not quite looking for a loud, crazy club... not looking for a hole in the wall either, but something in between. Helios might work, but I'm sick of Itaewon. What's the vibe/music/volume level at M2? And how do I get there?

If you're not looking for a loud, crazy club then M2 is out. That is the loudest place I've been to in Korea and it gets really packed even though it's huge. If you want to know how to get there then here's directions (note: Q-VO is right above M2 and one cover gets you in to both, if I'm not mistaken):

1. Go to Hongdae station exit 5. There is a KFC at that exit. Walk down the alley between KFC and Paris Baguette.

2. At the second "intersection" turn right.

3. Walk straight. You will cross a street where there's a Mr. Donut to your right somewhere and a Ho Bar on your left.

4. Keep going straight up a hill past all the vendors on your right.

5. You'll pass a shooting range simulator on your left and a bunch of other clubs. Keep walking straight.

6. Eventually you'll come to Buy The Way or 7 Eleven convenience store at an intersection (There are two convenience stores really close to each other - the second one is definitely BTW but the first one I'm not 100% sure about. Turn right at the first one. If you pass the Ti Amori (spelling?) coffee shop then you've gone too far.)

7.Turn right and walk down the hill a little bit. You should see a line there. That's the line to M2.

If you get lost you will definitely see some expats so stop and ask them, they should know where to go.

Also, to answer Draz, yeah, The Loft still has free drinks for ladies on Thursday.
