I'm thinking about getting a Kindle for Christmas. Anyone have one? What are your thoughts? Anyone had any problems/life changing experiences?
I've had a few ebook readers and they all sucked horribly, but I used my dad's last time I was home and it was sort of cool... |

sweet link. i did some research. it seems b&n's library is unavailable to non-us ip addresses. i like the wifi capabilities, but the kindle international edition will work on the korean 3g network, which sort of makes the wifi unnecessary. |

I love my Sony eReader 5. All you need to do is download .pfd books online, paste them onto a SD card, insert and read away |

Cool.
New firmware update has support for PDFs and supposedly an 87% increase in battery life.
Me wanty. Might wait till they are 100 bucks with color screen, though. |

I saw one of these the other day. I really like the screen.
What sort of battery life are you getting on them? |

Let me be sure I am reading this correctly?? You CAN use the new international edition of the Kindle here in Korea?? When I went to Amazon a few months ago to buy one, it said Korea was not one of the supported countries. My wife had the first gen of Kindle back in the US, and loved it. She would love nothing more than to use one here in Korea. Did you buy it and ship it through Amazon??? Thanks. |

If the Kindle is as slow as the similar I-river model, I'll pass. Downright painful is how I'd describe it.
I also wasn't nearly as impressed with the E-ink screen that I saw. |

Maybe it does work in Korea? This is what I saw when looking at Amazon:
Korea, Republic of
Unfortunately, we are currently unable to ship Kindles to Korea, Republic of
Does it work here, but Amazon won't ship it here? If so, do those who have one here just get a friend to ship it over? Thanks. |

mine should be waiting for me at school on monday. my dad bought it for me and shipped it here. you can buy the books as i've already been buying them for my itouch. i saw a map of wispernet coverage, and korea is covered so, it SHOULD work wirelessly here. i think everything works, they just dont ship it here yet.
i'll find out on monday if everything works... |
