|

Tuesday I have to get a molar pulled. God My whole left jaw including the joint is in severe pain.
I haven't seen a dentist in 20 years.
Actually this is a good reason why everyone should get there teeth checked for cavities. My tooth started with some small cavities, then cracks and now half my tooth is gone and my jaw abscessed. I just thought you would like to know that. |

soju and a pair of pliers might help relieve some of the pain until tuesday. just remember to rinse with saltwater every couple hours after you pull the tooth to help keep the wound clean! |

I have heavy duty pain killers, but last night they weren't enough after eating a bowl of Bude Jiggae. |

You need antibiotics if you have an abscessed tooth. You can get blood poisoning, if you're unlucky...don't wait til tuesday man, go get some antibiotics from the emergency room. |

See a dentist now or see a maxillofacial surgeon later. |

You could have an infection. Stop eating and get medical attention, and try to keep it clean.
Kids, this is why you see a dentist twice a year. |

Take your antibiotics and rinse with salt water NOW as often as you can until you get it pulled. Like jmums said, afterwards too. |

The antibiotics are a pre-emptive move to get the infection under control before the dentist opens up a wound by pulling the tooth. |

The pressure of the infection build up in the gum is what causes the severe pain.
Sometimes brushing can help relieve pressure too. If the infection is below a filling, gently teasing the filling with a toothpick can help some pus escape and relieve the pressure and therefore the pain.
I've used both techniques when I couldn't sleep because of toothache. |

The tooth is pulled. The dentist said It had deep roots. He was actually showing it to me. There was definately some pain. More from the Local that shot into me and burned like crazy than from the tooth.
It only cost me 4500 Won. I think the clinic in Cheongyang is really inexpensive. In fact when I went to Samsung Hospital for an EGD and a Colonoscopy it only cost me 75000 Won. Is it possible that the government clinics are a lot cheaper than say the private ones you see around. Samsung is a top notch hospital. Its on Par with the 4 Tier hospitals you find in the USA. At least I think it is. |
