I am just wondering how I can hook my iMac up to my LCD TV.
Has anyone else tried to do this? |

Without knowing the connections into your TV it's impossible to answer the question. |

Well...I have all the standard connections on my LCD TV (VGA, HDMI).
My iMac has a mini DVI port on the back. |

Yeah...I know to google it. Thanks anyways though.
Just wanted to know if anyone on here has ever done it before. Especially someone who lives in Korea. |

Its pretty easy and pretty sweet.
If you live near Seoul...go to an Apple retailer and buy the correct DVI adapter for your mac. (Look it up on Apple.com first) AND your television.
I have a macbook pro from 2007 and a regular (as in not HD or flatscreen) tv so I had a harder time finding the right cable because most of the Apple retailers in Yongsan only had the mini-dvi cables that worked with HDMI ports. I had to get my cable in Myondong.
And dont get swindled...I had a guy in Yongsan try to sell me a GIANT $50 device AND and a $25 DVI adapter that wouldnt have worked on my Mac (the pin numbers didnt match).
Its safest just to buy it from Apple. My DVI to Video adapter cost me about $20. And dont forget that you'll probably need a video cable too! |

Thanks for your help.
I ended up buying a Mini DVI to DVI adapter from an Apple reseller store. I also picked up a HDMI cable at Yongsan.
It all works well. Now I can watch hockey on my TV. (' ') |

You could buy the pretty white official Apple adaptor for $25, or you could just buy a generic one from Yongsan for 10,000 and it will do the same job. |
