If I'm not mistaken, I thought it was the school accountant who transfers the money into your account, not SMOE. If you contacted your co-teacher, it shouldn't be that difficult to correct. I had mine before noon today, so the school should have the funds. I hope it works out for you.

Hmmmm, I work for SMOE and something fishy is going on with my account as well. On the 16th I had 218,000 won in it and didn't touch it until last night (23rd) when I withdrew 30,000 from an ATM. When I did that, my balance was listed as 1,045,074... wtf? I thought perhaps, in true SMOE form, I had been compensated separately for my after-school classes and no one informed me of the fact. Then today, my pay slip says 1,969,450 net - but then when I went to withdraw another 100,000 from an ATM, only 944,074 as the balance. Either SMOE paid me early and the utility companies robbed me, or I got a deposit without any paper work and haven't been given my regular salary yet. Sigh. Merry Christmas.

...add spelling to that. Confused

i just got home and noticed i didnt get paid either. oh well, they'll pay up next week. it's the holidays, christmas eve, people shouldn't even be working today (but then i should've been paid on the 23rd anyway).

loss of face, hey, suddenly it isn't only the foreign teacher who makes mistakes.

It is your fault for having a different payday than the Korean teachers.

If they don't pay you, you contact the police. They deal with the problem specifically and make sure you get paid.

Check out the website for more info.

Don't you have to miss 2 months pay before anyone will lift a finger to help you? That's the way it used to be.
