I wouldn't care if they saw me me completely naked. Who cares? It's a human body. Yeah some people are athletic looking, some fat, some average, some are bigger or smaller in certain areas but does it really matter? No.
I've never liked many clothing restrictions anyway.

Terrorists will just start shoving it up their toosh after that, or imbedding the explosives in their body with surgery.

Imbedded? But that can be easily discovered.......right?
The toosh? The body scan will get that..or should we all have to go through the proctologist security checkpoint? Smile

Wont work, the scanner sees EVERYTHING, thats why theres been such a big deal about it.

To be honest, i think it should be compulsory, the operator of the scanner is in another section of the airport and cant see the persons face or anything so it could be their uncle that goes through and they wouldnt be able to tell.
Some would say that its invasion of privacy, and i can see their point, but im willing to sacrifice my privacy for a second if it means im not going to be cooked to some religious nutjob.

terrorists?? come on... they are not terrorists! these guys work for the American goverment... they want to place fear into people..
fear sells weapons and technology! they want to control everything..
they have you already with the Internet!, cameras, cellphones, finger printing, and now body scanners.. these devices are gonna make billions in sales! next will be baby tagging at birth! and then its complete!

terrorist hahahaha that guy!!!???? some 23 year old smuck from nigeria working for Al Quida! give me a break! hahahahhaa
he is a patsy if ever I saw one...
he wasnt meant to blow up the plane... just create fear!
look how quickly the scanners got into place.. the very next day!
usually things take years!

get ready people.. this world is heading straight into the hands of a few powerful people who want to control us all...

A real Terrorist will have people working in the inside! engineers working in the hanger, to slip a few bombs or chemicals into the panels will not be difficult! to slip guns or even a person into the panels would not be difficult. and that is how a real terrorist would do it..
money talks... bribe a pilot, steward, get a job as a cleaner what ever..
someone doesn't need to strap a bomb to his chest like in the movies!!

not some stupid Kid who gets caught and then shouts out the word "AL QUIDA"!!

people want this war to continue, people want fear in the world to gain the support from the people..
there will be one more big attack to seal the deal shortly.. and the name AL QUIDA will come up again...

terrorist for Al Quida hahahha yeah good one... you wanna buy that garbage go for it...

regarding the body scanners....
it's BS and an invasion of privacy!
most importantly its the beggining of the world of perpetual war, pervasive government surveillance, public mind control, and the voiding of citizens' rights.
1984!

Mate,

I am with you on this one. I think the statistics for being shot would be higher than dying on a plane from a Nigerian with a bomb stuck to his chest! Shouldn't the government invest the money in dealing with the issues in streets and schools. That seems like a far greater issue to our safety.

I also would hope that the airline companies are employing people with the skills to properly use what they have at the airport already. Like cameras, metal scanners and all the other crap they have today. Perhaps it would have been better investing the money into training security rather than relying on machines again! Soon they will need only one man to stand next to the machine cutting costs down in paying people. In fact what it will really be doing is causing it's customers more harm. The chances of those dangerous red scanning causing harm to your body is higher than the chances of you getting blown up by a bomb on a plane!

I sure am glad I don't do a lot of flying! (or should i say a lot of exposing myself to those dangerous rays every time I walk through an airport) It's already bad enough flying that high with extra radiation exposure for business people and workers!

I can't believe people are just sitting back buying all this shit! Can we really believe our governments have our best interests at heart when there is so much violence and poverty in our own streets????

^^Belinda

The fact that people accept this sort of thing as normal suggests to me that the terrorists have already won.

The USA has become some sort of sick and twisted BDSM dungeon where dominant Americans tell submissive Americans what to do and the submissive Americans are obedient, even if it means allowing total strangers to see us naked and feel of our genitals and butts.

This is what America has become: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFXeXK3szOk at McDonald's, at the airport, etc. The McDonald's manager and her boyfriend should apply for a job at the TSA or Department of Homeland Security since they're obviously qualified.

Itaewonguy, some good points you make re our loss of rights. Alex Jones and David Eycke have gone over this ground as well. Eycke gets into the aliens but we won't go there, I hope.

The Nigerian kid was an incompetent bomber. But lots of these guys operating in Afghanistan, Iraq etc are too. Young people are easily duped to believe the rantings of violent clerics and they are willing to sacrifice their lives to get the 72 virgins or whatever they are promised. Wealth has nothing to do with it. Rich Saudi kids are jihading in Iraq etc.

Islamism is a default position that incubates in our society because our intellectual class refuses to stand up for and promote western values and cullture. They continually present our culture as one of oppression, predudice against blacks, women, gays etc, violence, vapid consumerism, international aggression and what have you. These ideas are all over the universities so its no surprise that our young Nigerian picked up on them.

So these young kids who are looking for something to belong to look past western culture and run straight into the hands of the Islamists and the global warming cultists who will gladly provide them with a larger place to belong.

The bourgeois intellectual class has been sabotaging culture since its inception. Good luck getting them to stand up for it now. At most, some Victorian stick-in-the-mud will write a letter to the editor frowning upon pop music. Ah yes, for classical performance, where educated people go sit in a concert hall and stare at a symphony orchestra, 150-strong, and solemnly appreciate culture! The times when they would go stare at an Edwardian play, shift uncomfortably if anyone made a mistake, then solemnly applaud at the edifying display of culture, perhaps themselves displaying their erudition afterwards for the benefit of their companions. Did you know that 'botcher' means an incompetent blacksmith, and is derived from 'butcher'?
