ok, so there's a film/video competition at Roofers in Itaewon and I'd like to find some people who are interested in putting something together before the Jan 4th deadline.
I have film and video experience, though the time away has rendered me a bit rusty for sure, I'm sure wit the right group of people we could make something not entirely atrocious.
Filmmaking knowledge isn't a prerequisite, just a genuine desire to have fun and participate.
Any takers? |

I always thought it would be fun to make a fake movie trailer about a teacher in Korea-type movie. Does it have to be long? |

I have an idea for a movie short that could easily be done by the deadline. This would be a 5 minute comedy movie short but would have an opening and closing music and background music. I also have acting experience but would need to work with someone to come up with a bot more dailouge for the script. I'd need one more person (a Korean) or 2 if I was not going to be in it. (I have the concept all thought out)
I also have a few ideas for Harley Davidson commercials but thos would have to be filmed in the better months. (I have a bike) |

Can you fill in some more details? I'm not much of a dialogue writer, I usually let the actors wing it if they're capable. However, if the story's strong enough, I'm sure decent dialogue could be penciled in.
I have an idea for an abstract video piece shot with cell phone cameras, a couple more conventional scripts, and a decent knowledge of camera, lighting, sound and editing. I'd prefer to find a camera op with their own equipment however. |

Some people have a story.. i have a concept.. In albusuerque they have a digital film festival every year. People have 8 days to write, film, edit, title, and soundtrack their short films. It's awesome.. I can do things with my concept and already have a "set" to film at. My story takes place in a subway..... |

My point was more that this competition was announced over a month ago, and registration is already closed, seems kind of strange to bring it here at this point. |

hahaha. I didn't even see the registration date when you wrote your reply or when I read it yesterday...I wonder if they'd take a late registration. Regardless, no one has contacted mt to discuss my concept so it's all moot right now. Are you a film student? |

No, but I have a friend here who is. Not sure if he's been working on something recently or not. |

Tall Dave, I didn't get the messages. My idea centers around subways too. Not really looking to do commercials though.
As for Roofers, the deadline was extended until 1-4. Hoping James will ok a late comer.
Yeah 48 hr filmmaking is actually pretty popular. It seems artists tend to be master procrastinators.
But then this is just for fun. And a deadline is just to for the motivation. I can make stuff with or without one. Can't deal with negativity on a production however. There's enough heads in the kitchen without one pissing in the soup. Improv rule number 1: Always say yes. |

I can act and provide ideas if you need my help, depending on how far I'd have to travel. |
