give you the benefit of the doubt here...

went to steve aoki and pete rock at the intercontinental hotel and had the best new years in about 5 years. place was busy but not packed. music was fantastic. lots of hot women around. free drink all night. easy to get a cab home. if you were there you know what i'm talking about.

Better watch out, I think "cornhole" is a verboten word on Davie's
ESL Cafe. Some mod deleted the entire thread yesterday. I don't
know if it upset him personally or if some "professional" ESL teacher
deemed it a word below the exalted standards of this profession and
whined and complained until it got yanked.

Myself? Downed about eight pints of ale and a few scotches and won
15,000won in backgammon and then woke up with a young lady sleeping
on my chest! Oh, wait. She was my baby daughter.

I went to MILK at The Intercontinental, Gangnam and watched a bunch of Westerners acting like assholes.

It was my first experience of a club night in Korea. Rubbish. Too much alcohol and too many posers.

Went to Bangkok for Christmas and NY with the first Jin Air flight on that route (TV was there and they had prizes to give away during the flight, didn't win though). At around 400 US$ this might become the ET-Express for warmer climes (there were certainly more than a few on the return leg).

Just did the usual BKK thing - sleeping through Christmas, feeding myself silly on Thai food and lentil soup, NY dinner by the river, followed by Soi Cowboy (tough to get a Korean girl off the stage once she's up and wild), Nana Plaza, Patpong (fact of interest: King's Castle 3 is entirely ladyboy but they're much much more fun than the real girls elsewhere) and Silom Soi 4 until just before sunrise.

Jin Air flight 002 was an hour delayed so we came to Incheon with all the limo buses gone (anybody knows why they stop running around 22:30?) and had to catch a regular red one where a rather drunk and somewhat racist ajumma was providing 45 minutes of non-stop entertainment, got home 2 hours after it should have been to an apartment wothout electricity and 12C interior temperature (which was not so bad since I forgot to take the trash out 14 days earlier). Popped a fuse back in but still heating after 12 hours to get back into the 20s.

Not really sure why I had to return to Korea after that but money might be a factor.

HNY everybody!
