We are really disappointed with this product after having such an excellent experience with Kaspersky Internet Security 2009.

It slows down my wife's machine at boot, and elsewhere. Mainly, the problem, however, is with incompatibilities with the Wooribank website. The Firewall doesn't work with Wooribank, and my wife hates shutting it off. With KIS 2009, it was easy to create an exception for this, but 2010 has changed they way they do this (and I still can't figure it out -- or seem to make it work if I have figured it out).

I am able to get onto the site and use it if I shut down KIS 2010 entirely, but otherwise, it's a no-go. Apparently KIS doesn't like the Ahn Labs anti-keylogger install that comes down as a part of logging-in.

We rolled back to KIS 2009 for now.

Hi there

It is not problem with Kaspersky

If you have problem with internet banking in Korea
It is because you need to turn your firewall OFF

Must turn off your kaspersky protection

wooribank installs it's own firewall so you do not need kaspersky firewall

two firewalls conflict .

We did turn off the firewall.

The problem goes deeper than that.

KIS 2010 also slows down our computer a great deal more than 2009 did. We downgraded it back to KIS 2009, which works just fine with Woori's banking site (we always turn them off temporarily, anyway... so yeah, we've done that).

We also found that Woori's site doesn't like IE 8 on my wife's 64-bit Vista computer. We had to downgrade to IE 7 as well.

Surely you jest!

Do you seriously expect someone to remove all protection when having digital intercourse with a Korean company?

Using their firewall?

Sounds to me like a one-way mirror looking the wrong way.

Do you work for Woori, Jbko?

I tell ya what. I'll turn off my firewall when Woori turns of its firewall.

Downgrading to IE7, bassexpander? Haven't you seen all the articles about how IE7 is not considered safe?

Sorry, but when I see all these Korean businesses pushing me to install software in order to use their sites, I get very nervous. Frankly, I do not trust Koreans to respect my privacy.

Oh, I know, and I agree. I don't allow that Korean software on my machine. But when you're dealing with a Korean wife who has to do Korean things, you don't have much choice (she has her own machine).

As you know, Korean banks/companies are obsessed with control of your computer through Active X. Much of Korea is quite slow at catching up with Microsoft updates, many of which are meant to protect the user. Those updates often screw with the "control issues" that companies here have.

Of course, this is all Microsoft's fault. Confused
