I was in NY about a year before CBGB closed. Wish I had gone to one of the shows while I was in town.

I haven't been to too many concerts, but I have seen two of my favourites...Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band and The Who....but I will always regret that I am too young to have seen Queen at the top of their game. Mercury live was unreal.

*sigh*

This would be my choice! More of a concert series than a concert, but still...

The greatest band in front of the Great Pyramid, and the third night was a lunar eclipse! I wish I'd been there.

The Concert in Central Park

Quote:
The Concert in Central Park is a live album by Simon & Garfunkel. On September 19, 1981 the folk-rock duo reunited for a free concert on the Great Lawn of New York's Central Park attended by more than 500,000 people.

Woodstock, Hendrix, Joplin. Born in 1957. Only 13 when it was REALLY happening!

The Who, Queen, Hendrix, Zeppelin, of course. Too young to see them. But I have seen some good bands.

I feel worse about the bands I had half a chance of seeing and didn't. Both Pink Floyd and U2 came to Edmonton in the early 90s and I couldn't afford to see either.

I met an older woman who saw the Beatles live, and said it wasn't really very good. No one could hear much of the music over the screaming. Still, it would be cool to say you were there.

Alison Krauss once came through town in the Ace Deuce and I missed it for a night of beer pong. Utter fail on my part. I also had a friend all lined up to take a road trip to Branson MO. and never followed through.

I missed a Dio show once too, though that probably was for the best.

Also three of my roommates had tickets to see the Pistons play the Pacers the night of the infamous 'Malice in the Palace' riot. I had work, fail again.

I did get to see Mitch Hedberg live about 3 weeks before his death. That was nice.

Seeing DBX in concert before they went back to Gwar was pretty cool too.

Mine would be the Dead Kennedys, one of the most influential punk groups of all time.
Gotta love Jello's onstage antics.

and of course Led Zeppelin would also be on my list.

Yeah...classical version of MJ...

I also wish I could see Tchaikovsky.

Black Sabbath, Led Zepellin, Michael Jackson.

Saw Prince back in '97 -- truly sublime!
