I think they will give 'em back, unless they wanna be laughing stock of the pirate world.
Talk about lacking taste. Who steals a Korean car? What were they thinking? |

It could be a great way to gain market share in Africa. Considering that 90% of the cars there are Japanese.
The pirates are going to sell them. They don't have to worry about getting wholesale price so a few thousand to some local villager is good enough. |

The pirates should start to learn how to make some headlines. Why don't they watch some movies... For example they could start to drop a Korean car in the sea every hour until they have gotten the money. |

How funny would that be to see the pirate ship flying the Skull and Crossbones as it approached the Korean freighter? |

...or a pirate driving through the Somalian desert in a Kia hatchback with a skull and crossbones on the antenna! |

About two years ago there was a story about a similar boat carrying a similar number of secondhand Korean cars that sunk.
There is a god..... |

hey , still a decent score.. 2.300 cars valued at about10K each thats about 23 million dollars..
if they sell them real cheap to their mates for 5K a car.. they are still making 10 million+ dollars!! and not to mention they got a ship to sell back to the shipping company.. or even better sell the cars back with the ship to the koreans for 10 million dollars.. not a bad days work... |
