I was hoping to get a multi entry, or at the very least, a double entry China Visa.
I was told by a large agency that the double entry is possible ONLY IF you have at least 6 months remaining on your ARC Card, but a Single Entry would be no problem.
Has anyone been able to get a multi or double entry visa with LESS THAN 6 months remaining on their ARC?
If so, which Agency??
Thanks for any help! |
Go to another agency. Why does the remaining period on your ARC have to do with it? The Chinese government doesn't care about your ARC, and they're the ones who issue the visa. |

Crazy as it sounds, I just heard back from another agency with the same comment about needing 6 months left on your ARC to get a double entry visa.
Why would the Chinese Embassy care?
Apparently, they are wanting people to take care of getting their visas in their home country rather than while "travelling". I've seen similar
remarks about Hong kong for those wanting multiple entry visas.
Our ARC card is proof that we are living here and can not get this done in our home countries.
Why they are allowing single entry visas with no prerequisite, but demanding 6 months left on the ARC for a double entry is beyond me.
It seems that sometimes, they go ahead and give the person a double entry if they ask anyhow.
That is the route I'll have to take. |

I got a double entry with less than 6 months on my ARC. It was with Soho travel. |

Wow! I just quoted myself for the first time ever on Dave's.
Yesterday, got my Visa back, and lo and behold...A DOUBLE ENTRY!
For anyone reading this in the future, I had only one and a half months left on my ARC, but went ahead and applied anyway.
I was told (by two different agencies) that anyone can get a Single entry visa, but for a double, you must have at least 6 months remaining on your ARC.
They suggested that I give it a try anyhow, and it went through!
To anyone else reading this in the same boat, good luck to you too! |

| I just got my China visa back today. I dropped it off myself at the Chinese Consulate here in Busan--I only have about a month left on my ARC, but nobody said anything about not being able to get a double entry! They gave it to me w/out fuss. |

Sorry I didn't see the reply notification. I was after directions but I actually went today.... just to be told they no longer issue them in person.
Waste of time and now I need to find a travel agent to do it for me.
Boooooh. |

| Good tip for Seoul based folks. I am in Busan... I did find a great place though. Based in Chinatown and sharged the same as the 'official' consulate recommended (and price controlled) places. A whopping 60.000 won less than I would have paid going to the famous foreigner orientated travel agency here. |

New World Travel Agency. Busan station.
Come out of exit 5. Turn right at the bakery Pan D'or (you can't miss it.). Walk down a little (into Chinatown area), u will see the 7-11 ahead. With your back to the 7-11 there is a small road ahead, go down that and the agency is just on the right. All frosted windows).
They speak English and only charged me 50.000 (which includes the visa fee itself) to do it. Result!
