To anyone out there who can help,

My girlfriend and I are supposed to start work at the British International School/Chinese International School in Myeongdong, Seoul in less than two weeks.

In reality, we have had the job since October (!) but the start date been continually delayed. When pressed, the school says that the tickets will be booked soon, but we are yet to see the flight details.

Has anyone worked for or have any information on this school? We would very much welcome any help we can get.

Hi,
I also had signed a contract with BIS THREE MONTHS ago. After hearing nothing I got in contact with a teacher at the Chinese international school last week. This is her reply to my email:

The BIS have left the premises of the Chinese school, and the second hand info i have got from the chinese school and the teachers that had started there, is that they didn't pay any rent to the chinese school, didn't pay teachers on time and were not even a registered company. It seems like Louie Moon gambled the teachers salaries and kids fees on setting up the new school which appears to have failed.
It has left owners of the building (attached to chinese school) with a load of kids, no teachers. it has meant the BIS teachers have quit. And me with no overtime pay from the lovely Mr Moon.
If I were you I would forget about Louie Moon! He is apparently operating the new school form a differnet area in Seoul but I really wouldn't trust him.

I've been in touch with my recruiters, who said they had no idea about the situation, and who are currently searching for another suitable job for me. The thing I'm most mad about is the fact i spent the last 3 months just WAITING, when i could have been searching for jobs.

Goodluck.
